About Ashley

I have lived in Clayton for about 8 years now. Before that I lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 10 years and before that I was a military brat and lived everywhere from Florida to England to Washington State to Maine. 

I have always loved photography and have been doing it as a hobby for as long as I can remember, starting with a simple point and shoot and finding my way through film and up to my current camera; a Canon R6 Mark II DSLR. I really love nature, animal and family photography but I am hoping to broaden my skills, looking for new, challening and creative ways to take photos.

I have a degree in Journalism and Public Communications from the University of Alaska Anchorage with an emphasis on integrated media. I have experience working with photography in my jobs in Alaska at Alaska Public Media, KTUU and the Anchorage Daily News. After moving here to North Carolina I worked with ABC11 as a producer. Eventually I transitioned to the NC Forest Service as their Multimedia Editor doing photography, web design, video production and more.

Now here I am, a SAHM to two little girls looking for my next big adventure. I am hoping to grow and thrive here in Clayton and help families all over capture those special moments and memories
